February 21, 2024 (Ankara): H.E. Ambassador Adem Mohammed met with Professor Yunus Turhan, Director of African Civilization Research Center, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University and conferred on the wide range of cultural and regional issues.
During the meeting, His Excellency Ambassador Adem explained that Ethiopia is the pioneer of Pan-Africanism, possesses a rich history and diverse culture. He added that Ethiopia is committed to expand the partnership with Türkiye in the field of higher education and to further strengthen cultural exchange and people-to-people relations between the two sisterly countries.
Professor Yunus, in his part, said that Ethiopia is a key country and among the first nations in the Türkiye-Africa relation, and expressed his readiness to further promote Ethiopian culture and history in collaboration with Ethiopian embassy in Ankara.
Finally, they have agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding between Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University and Addis Ababa University that aims to twinning a partnership between the two institutions.
