On their first day in Singapore, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) and First Lady Zinash Tayachew had attended an Orchid naming ceremony at the National Orchid Garden where an orchid hybrid was named after them (Aranda Abiy Ahmed Zinash Tayachew) as a gesture of friendship to promote goodwill between Singapore and Ethiopia.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed yesterday held discussions with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and Singapore in multiple areas of cooperation including technology, manufacturing, air transport, logistics and tourism sectors.
