This morning, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed conducted a site visit to the Shabelley Resort, in the Somali Region, the Office of the Prime Minister said.

The project is said to be a key site among the ‘DineForGenerations’ initiative. Situated 29 kilometers from Jigjiga City and sprawling across 385 hectares. It is also a critical component of the tourism pillar, aimed at transforming Jijiga City and its surrounding areas into a leading tourism destination.

According to the PM Office, the initiative highlights Ethiopia’s dedication to promoting sustainable tourism and economic development.
