Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) held a bilateral discussion with the President of Kenya William S. Ruto at the State House Kenya in Nairobi.

Note that Prime Minister, alongside First Lady Zinash Tayachew, travelled to Nairobi on Tuesday afternoon for a two-day state visit. After his arrival, PM Abiy has visited an ICT park in Nairobi together with President Ruto.

Earlier today, both leaders along with their delegations delved into extensive discussions on various subjects, including bilateral, regional, and multilateral issues. They acknowledged the deep historical relations and economic connections between their nations, committing to strengthen their cooperation further, according to the Office of the Prime Minister of Ethiopia.

It is indicated that this meeting signifies a pivotal moment in enhancing diplomatic and economic ties, promising a future of increased collaboration between Ethiopia and Kenya.

“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my brother, President William Ruto, for his gracious welcome to Kenya. Our comprehensive discussions today have not only strengthened our existing ties but also highlighted key areas for future collaboration,” PM Abiy said via a social media post.

As neighbors sharing a unified vision and destiny, our commitment to working together remains steadfast, the Ethiopian Prime Minister stressed.

Meanwhile, President Ruto noted on social media that the long-standing relations between Kenya and Ethiopia are the bedrock of our shared prosperity and regional stability.

“The State Visit by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed goes further to cement our ties,” he added.
