Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) was received by Tanzanian President Samia Suhulu today for official talks during his State visit to the East African nation. The scope of their discussions covered a wide range of bilateral and regional issues with a commitment to multifaceted cooperation.

The two leaders have discussed the ways on how to strengthening ties between their two countries.

“Today’s bilateral meeting is testament to how our historical ties have paved the way for stronger relations in the present,” Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said.

The two countries signed MoU today in agriculture, energy trade, and cultural cooperation are foundational for ongoing and reciprocal development.

“Thank you, President Samia Suluhu for the warm welcome to Tanzania during the nation’s time of mourning. On behalf of Ethiopia, I express my condolences on the passing of Former President Ali Hassan Mwinyi,” the Prime Minister noted.
